Antagon

Antagon (ga-ni-REL-iks) is used as a fertility medicine to prevent premature luteinizing hormone (LH) surges in women undergoing the fertility procedure of controlled ovarian hyperstimulation. LH is involved in ovulation, which is the development of eggs in the ovaries. Antagon may help reduce the need for follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) , which is also involved in ovulation.
