Gerber Soy Formula description. Infant formulas are used to supply all or part of the nutrients infants need for growth and development. These formulas are used by the body for energy and to form substances for normal body functions. The amount and type of nutrients contained in infant formulas are regulated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
