Invanz (er-ta-PEN-em) is used in the treatment of infections caused by bacteria. It works by killing bacteria or preventing their growth. Invanz will not work for colds, flu, or other virus infections. Invanz is used to treat infections in many different parts of the body. It is sometimes given with other antibiotics.
