Phosphocol P 32

Chromic phosphate ( KROME-ik FOS-fate) P 32 is a radiopharmaceutical (ray-dee-oh-far-ma-SOO-ti-kal) . Radiopharmaceuticals are agents used to diagnose certain medical problems or treat certain diseases. Phosphocol P 32 is used to treat cancer or related problems. It is put by catheter into the pleura (sac that contains the lungs) or into the peritoneum (sac that contains the liver, stomach, and intestines) to treat the leaking of fluid inside these areas that is caused by cancer. It may also be given by injection to treat cancer in certain organs such as the ovaries and prostate. Phosphocol P 32 is to be given only by or under the direct supervision of a doctor with specialized training in nuclear medicine. It is available in the following dosage form: Parenteral Suspension (U.S.)
