Pyridium Plus containing Phenazopyridine Hydrochloride, Butabarbital, and Hyoscyamine Hydrobromide relieves urinary tract pain, burning, irritation, and discomfort, as well as urgent and frequent urination caused by urinary tract infections, surgery, injury, or examination procedures. However, Pyridium Plus containing Phenazopyridine Hydrochloride, Butabarbital, and Hyoscyamine Hydrobromide is not an antibiotic; it does not cure infections. Pyridium Plus containing Phenazopyridine Hydrochloride, Butabarbital, and Hyoscyamine Hydrobromide is sometimes prescribed for other uses; ask your doctor or pharmacist for more information.

Pyridium Plus containing Phenazopyridine Hydrochloride, Butabarbital, and Hyoscyamine Hydrobromide comes as a tablet to take by mouth. It usually is taken three times a day after meals. Do not chew or crush the tablets; swallow them whole with a full glass of water. You may stop taking this drug when pain and discomfort completely disappear. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take Pyridium Plus containing Phenazopyridine Hydrochloride, Butabarbital, and Hyoscyamine Hydrobromide exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.
