Ropinirole (ro-PIN-a-rol) is used alone or with other medicines to treat Parkinson's disease. It is also used to treat a condition called Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS). This condition is an overwhelming feeling of wanting to move your legs to make them comfortable from unpleasant sensations in the legs. Ropinirole is available only with your doctor's prescription, in the following dosage form: Oral Tablets (U.S. and Canada)

Ropinirole is used to treat the symptoms of Parkinson's disease, including tremors (shaking), stiffness, and slowness of movement.

Ropinirole comes as a tablet to take by mouth. It is usually taken three times a day with or without food. Your doctor will increase your dose as needed on a weekly basis. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take Ropinirole exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor. Ropinirole controls the symptoms of Parkinson's disease but does not cure it.
