Urecholine (be-THAN-e-kole ) is taken to treat certain disorders of the urinary tract or bladder. It helps to cause urination and emptying of the bladder. Urecholine may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor. Urecholine is available only with your doctor's prescription in the following dosage forms: Oral Tablets (U.S. and Canada) Parenteral Injection (U.S. and Canada)
Urecholine is used to relieve difficulties in urinating caused by surgery, drugs, or other factors. Urecholine is sometimes prescribed for other uses; ask your doctor or pharmacist for more information. Urecholine comes as a tablet to take by mouth. Urecholine usually is taken two to four times a day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take Urecholine exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor. Urecholine usually is taken at evenly spaced intervals during the day.
