Vasodilan (eye-SOX-syoo-preen) belongs to the group of medicines called vasodilators. Vasodilators increase the size of blood vessels. Vasodilan is used to treat problems resulting from poor blood circulation. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor. Isoxsuprine is used to relieve the symptoms of central and peripheral vascular diseases such as arteriosclerosis, Buerger's disease, and Raynaud's disease. Vasodilan is sometimes prescribed for other uses; ask your doctor or pharmacist for more information. Isoxsuprine comes as a tablet to take by mouth. It is usually taken three or four times a day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take isoxsuprine exactly as directed.
