Vasopressin

Vasopressin ( vay-soe-PRESS-in) is a hormone naturally produced by your body. It is necessary to maintain good health. Lack of Vasopressin causes your body to lose too much water. Vasopressin is used to control the frequent urination, increased thirst, and loss of water associated with diabetes insipidus (water diabetes). Vasopressin also may be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor. Vasopressin is available only with your doctor's prescription, in the following dosage form: Parenteral Injection (U.S. and Canada)
