VESIcare

VESIcare (sol-i- FEN-a-cin ) is used to treat bladder problems such as frequent need to urinate or loss of control of urinary function. VESIcare is available only with your doctor's prescription, in the following dosage forms: Oral Tablets (U.S.)

VESIcare is used to treat overactive bladder (a condition in which the bladder muscles contract uncontrollably and cause frequent urination, urgent need to urinate, and inability to control urination).VESIcare is in a class of medications called anticholinergics. It works by relaxing the bladder muscles to prevent urgent, frequent, or uncontrolled urination.

VESIcare comes as a tablet to take by mouth. It is usually taken once a day with or without food. To help you remember to take VESIcare, take it at around the same time every day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take VESIcare exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the tablets whole; do not split, chew, or crush them. Swallow the tablets with water or another liquid. Your doctor will probably start you on a low dose of VESIcare and increase your dose later in your treatment. VESIcare may help to control your symptoms but will not cure your condition. Continue to take VESIcare even if you feel well. Do not stop taking VESIcare without talking to your doctor.
