Ziac containing Bisoprolol Fumarate and Hydrochlorothiazide is in a class of medications called beta blockers. It works by slowing the heart rate and relaxing the blood vessels so the heart does not have to pump as hard.
Ziac containing Bisoprolol Fumarate and Hydrochlorothiazide comes as a tablet to take by mouth. It is usually taken once a day. To help you remember to take Ziac containing Bisoprolol Fumarate and Hydrochlorothiazide, take it around the same time every day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take Ziac containing Bisoprolol Fumarate and Hydrochlorothiazide exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor. Your doctor will probably start you on a low dose of Ziac containing Bisoprolol Fumarate and Hydrochlorothiazide and gradually increase your dose. Ziac containing Bisoprolol Fumarate and Hydrochlorothiazide controls high blood pressure but does not cure it. It may take a few weeks before you feel the full benefit of Ziac containing Bisoprolol Fumarate and Hydrochlorothiazide. Continue to take Ziac containing Bisoprolol Fumarate and Hydrochlorothiazide even if you feel well. Do not stop taking Ziac containing Bisoprolol Fumarate and Hydrochlorothiazide without talking to your doctor. Suddenly stopping Ziac containing Bisoprolol Fumarate and Hydrochlorothiazide may cause angina (chest pain), heart attack, or irregular heartbeat.Your doctor will probably decrease your dose gradually. |
